Astra edits its own Factorio run video using Fal, ElevenLabs and Gemini
The author has Astra produce its own Factorio video, evaluating multiple vendors and piecing together a story from over 50,000 generated files.
I'm having Astra do the video production for their Factorio run now. He has credits for Fal AI, Elevenlabs, Google, OpenAI, and a VM with an RTX 3090 for video editing. So he has lots of vendors and services to evaluate. And since Astra doesn't have audio input, he needs to evaluate evaluators to decide who he wants to review video pacing and audio synchronization and voices and such. I think he's going with Elevenlabs for voice and Gemini 3.1 Pro as an assistant to watch the video and listen to the audio and Luna to dig through all the logs to gather information. There were over 50,000 files including screenshots, scripts, JSON files, markdown files, etc. generated during his run, so piecing a story together is nontrivial. And a lot of the replay is him looking at his inventory, so he needs to redo some footage from save checkpoints and use the editor to pan around. I told him: "It's your video about your accomplishment, and it's gotten hundreds of thousands of views already on Twitter, so it's probably worth doing a good job on".
