GitHub projects use Astra as a team lead that delegates to cheaper models

New GitHub repos around GPT-6 Astra have it plan and review work while cheaper models like GPT-5.6 handle exploration, implementation, research, testing and review.

GPT-6 ASTRA IS STARTING TO LOOK LIKE AN AI TEAM LEAD I went through the new GitHub repos around Astra. The interesting part is not another benchmark. People are already putting Astra on top and letting cheaper agents do the work underneath. Astra decides what needs to happen. Then it delegates: → codebase exploration → implementation → research → testing → review to GPT-5.6 / Luna-style workers. When they finish, Astra checks the results and handles the final integration. GPT-6 Astra = architect smaller models = employees Cleanest example so far: donvito/codex-astra-luna-orchestrator ASTRA ↓ explorer ↓ worker ↓ researcher ↓ tester ↓ reviewer ↓ ASTRA DannyMac180/astra-advisor does a similar thing: Astra evaluates the task first, then picks which model should execute it. So the strongest model is not wasted on every tiny step. It plans, delegates and judges. The next step is not: one model → one answer It is: one strong model → plans the work → spins up specialists → reviews the output → keeps the task moving
