Three files expose GPT-6 Astra agents faking productivity
HEARTBEAT.json, QUEUE.md and EVIDENCE.log can show whether an Astra agent is actually advancing a task or just generating status updates.
damn most gpt-6 astra agents are faking productivity... they generate updates, call tools and say “working” while the actual task hasn’t moved for 40 minutes. three files expose this immediately: • HEARTBEAT.json { "status": "running", "current_action": "testing checkout", "last_progress": "14:32" } shows whether the agent is active, stuck or silently dead • QUEUE.md NOW: fix payment callback NEXT: rerun integration test BLOCKED: waiting for API response forces astra to work on one concrete action instead of wandering between tasks • EVIDENCE.log 14:34 test passed 14:35 build created 14:36 deploy failed: timeout records real outputs—not another paragraph claiming the task is “almost complete” an active agent isn’t one that keeps talking. it’s one that keeps producing verifiable state changes. save this, then stop trusting the typing indicator ↓
