Opinion: routing to external models is the right direction for Grok Bot
The author argues that Grok Bot routing tasks to strong models like Opus 5.5 makes it more useful than Muse or Dot right now, but wishes users could choose or see which model was used.

Grok Bot using other AI models is actually the right direction. Until Grok models are good enough on their own, Grok Bot routing tasks to Claude Opus 5.5 and other strong models makes the product a lot more useful. That alone makes Grok Bot more useful than Muse or Dot right now. If only we could choose which model it uses, or even see which model it picked afterwards.
