Australia's open-source decision model Matilda Jev
An Australian team has open-sourced Matilda Jev, a model that does not generate text but scores how likely each option is to be the right choice, and the author is curious how it performs in real use.
First we had the Americans, then the Chinese. Seems like the Australians just joined the AI race too. They’re open sourcing Matilda Jev, an ai model built entirely in Australia that doesn’t generate text. Instead of writing answers like ChatGPT, it looks at the available options and tells you how likely each one is to be the right choice. Really curious to see how well this approach performs in the real world. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on it. If you want to try out Matilda ,check the comments for the repo
