peon lets Claude or GPT play World of Warcraft, with Jev handling combat
peon is an open-source Pi-based harness that gives models native opcode tools to log in, chat, move, fight and quest in WoW, while Jev decides real-time combat actions like casting, fleeing or kiting.
I built a World of Warcraft harness that lets you play with Claude or GPT! It’s called `peon` and it’s free and open source It’s built on the Pi harness and gives a model tools to interact with anything in WoW using the native opcodes: login, chat, movement, combat, quests, or dungeons ~80% of all the opcodes are implemented with evals and good test coverage For fast interactions like combat it uses Jev, who decides what action to take, whether to cast a spell, flee, or kite It works with WoW 3.3.5a private servers and I recommend you run it on your own AzerothCore private server. It could probably be made to work with retail/Forever but I think Warden/anti-cheat would catch it and it would be pointless. I think it could be adapted to classic TBC or Vanilla 1.12.1 private servers trivially though I think MMOs are a great fit for agents and stuff like this opens a lot of interesting new gameplay; you could use it to substitute a human party for a dungeon so that you can play casually or solo, to practice content at your own pace, you can do RP events Imagine a server full of friendly and infinitely patient agents, you can use this to make that now Point your agent to GitHub to try it out! https://github.com/tvararu/peon
