Why Anthropic Might Be Holding Back Fable 5.5 👀 Claude Opus 5.5 is already at the top. Dropping Fable 5.5 right now might not give Anthropic much to gain. So what if they’re waiting for competitors to catch up? Imagine GPT-6.1 Astra or Gemini 4 Carbon challenging Opus 5.5 first. Anthropic could then drop Fable 5.5, outperform the competition, and reclaim the #1 spot. Just a theory, but imagine the timing.
