Gemini 4 Argon review: strong 3D and creativity, frontend design still behind Opus 5.5
A developer finds Argon solid overall, fast, and strong on color and detail, but says its 3D and frontend animation work trails Opus 5.5 and usually needs 2-3 iterations.

Gemini 4 Argon: My Impressions & Review - Gemini 4 Argon is a very good model overall, but there are still areas where it needs improvement. In some areas, it's already quite impressive. - Its pretty good at 3D, but Opus 5.5 is still better. I tried 2-3 prompts, and Opus 5.5 performed better across all of them. - Its creativity, color choices, and attention to small details are really good. It's also quite fast. - Its frontend skills still need work. It lacks that extra taste when it comes to frontend design and animations. However, Gemini 3.1 Pro was once among the best, so I hope Google can improve Argon in these areas soon, too. - Argon is also good at coding. I tested it on several tasks, and it handled them well overall. I haven't tested it on system design or more complex engineering problems yet. - It usually takes 2-3 iterations to get the output right. - One thing to keep in mind is that Google will likely keep improving it every week, so these things gonna be fix or better.
