deepseek is making this hard to ignore. tested the same rocket launch scene on two models: DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017: $0.78, 3 mins GPT 6.1 Sol: $6.10, 5 mins same task, way less money, less time. almost 8x cheaper is actually crazy. the AI race is getting interesting.
