On October 17, a Flash fingerprint change preceded the official V4.1 Flash 1017 release by hours. That upgrade reached the website, app and API while keeping the same deepseek-flash API name and pricing. So an unchanged model name wouldn't rule out a new checkpoint behind it. The fingerprint change doesn't establish that the model weights changed it could also just be a redeploy.
