Developer builds a full bullet-hell shooter with GPT-6 Astra in three days
A developer spent about 40 hours over roughly three days turning a small experiment into a complete SHMUP called YABAI!, with levels, music, bosses and upgrades, and has released the first stage for feedback.
Almost 3 days. Around 40 hours. Very little sleep. 😅 I think this is the deepest I’ve ever disappeared into one of my own game ideas. YABAI! started as a little experiment with GPT-6 Astra… and somewhere along the way, it became a real SHMUP with its own world, music, characters, bosses, weapons, upgrades and way too many ideas I couldn’t stop adding. I think I’ve finally finished the first stage. At least for tonight. 😂 If you find a bug, something broken, or anything that just doesn’t feel right, please leave me a comment. I’ll fix it as soon as I wake up. And seriously, thank you to everyone who played, tested, suggested things and kept giving me new ideas. Every comment made me want to add one more thing.
