Parallax Wallet 1.0: desktop wallet with built-in full node and MCP server
A desktop wallet that bundles a full Parallax node, keeps keys local, and runs its own MCP server so ChatGPT or Claude can answer from your node, with every send awaiting manual review.
Today, we are announcing the Parallax Wallet: a state-of-the-art desktop wallet with a full Parallax node inside. Your balances and history come from your own copy of the chain, not from someone else's server. Your keys never leave your computer, or your hardware wallet. What's in v1.0.0: - A full node, built in. One app, nothing else to install or trust. - Ledger and Trezor support. Every send is confirmed on the device's own screen. - Offline signing. Keep a key on an air-gapped machine and sign by QR code or file. - Sealed by default. One password; keys are decrypted only for the action that needs them, then wiped from memory. - An AI assistant that never touches a key. The wallet runs its own MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP assistant can answer from your node. You decide what it may do, and every send it prepares waits for your review and your password. Stealth addresses and payment channels over Nostr are in development, built as contracts and software, with no changes to the protocol. It's available now for macOS, Windows and Linux: http://parallaxprotocol.org/parallax-wallet We've also redesigned our website from the ground up, with clearer pages for running a node, mining, verifying the chain and building on Parallax.
