GPT-6 Astra builds its own harness to play Minecraft
Astra built its own runtime and, after two days and two hours plus seven weekly Pro limit resets, has collected seven blaze rods while sticking to a vegan playstyle that avoids killing mobs for food.

I’m currently letting Astra play Minecraft as well, and here are some observations. It created its own harness, and the Minecraft clone it is playing is essentially a full recreation of Minecraft, developed by GPT-5.6 Sol and GPT-6 Astra with essentially all of the relevant mechanics and details implemented. It took approximately 10 hours to obtain its first two blaze rods. So far, it has played for two days and two hours and used ❗️ seven weekly Pro 20x limit resets. It currently has seven blaze rods and two Eyes of Ender, with the goal of eventually beating the game. Interestingly, it follows a vegan playstyle and does not kill mobs for food. Instead, it obtains food such as bread through villagers. More generally, it tends to avoid unnecessary conflict with mobs. For example, it does not kill iron golems simply to obtain iron. It has also developed some unusual strategies to avoid taking damage and unnecessary fights. In the Nether, it travels directly beneath the Nether roof toward the blaze spawners in the fortress, which allows it to avoid most encounters with mobs such as Piglins and Hoglins. When it needs to descend, instead of simply falling and taking damage, it drops sand and lets it fall to the ground, then mines downward through the resulting column until it reaches the bottom.
