Hands-on: can Gemini 4 Argon replace Opus on a real project?
A livestream test ran Gemini 4 Argon on a real project for 3 minutes 33 seconds with tool calls; the author finds it conversational but still rates Opus 5.5 as state of the art and notes a December 1 price increase.

Can Gemini 4 Argon actually replace Opus for us? I gave it a real project on stream and it went to town for 3 minutes and 33 seconds, tool calls, machines ready. It feels nice and conversational, and the price doubles on December 1. For me Opus 5.5 is still state of the art. Argon is really interesting and promising.
