Jev routing makes an agent 3.4x faster and 87% cheaper
Jev asks questions first, then routes and trims context, sending simple tasks to cheaper models; across 100 tasks cost fell from $33 to $4.26.
FABLE 5.5 + JEV + GROK 4.7 made one agent 3.4x faster and 87% cheaper with three changes... one task took 48 seconds and cost $0.33. now it takes 14 seconds and costs $0.043 ask → route → trim → escalate the agent used to send every task to Fable 5.5 at $10 and $50 per million, even the ones a cheap model could close the first change is the ask. Jev reads every task first, asks it 25 questions at once, and answers in 239 ms for $0.001 the second change is the route. 88 of 100 tasks go to Grok 4.7 at $2 and $6, and the task drops to $0.059 the third change is the trim. 24,000 tokens came with every task, Jev keeps the 7,200 it needs, and a Grok task lands at $0.025 Fable 5.5 still gets the 12 hard ones. same trim, $0.162 each, and nothing it writes gets cut on 100 tasks that's $2.22 for Grok, $1.94 for Fable and $0.10 for Jev. $4.26 where it used to be $33 the model that makes every call is 2.4% of the bill. the one doing the hardest work is 46% of it on 12% of the tasks at 1,000 tasks a day that's $330 down to $42.62, and $9,900 a month down to $1,279 the 3.4x comes from Grok closing a task in 9 seconds. the 12 hard ones still take 48, nothing got faster there the 87% only holds while 88 of 100 are easy. at 60 hard ones the task costs $0.108 and the cut is 67% Jev only picks from the routes you allow. write a bad list and it sends tasks the wrong way in 239 ms and the trim wasn't free. evals went from 412 to 401 out of 450 three changes, 14 seconds, $0.043 a task, and 11 eval cases you have to go and read ↓
