DeepSeek shipped V4.1-Flash-1017. Open weights. MIT license. 1M-token context. OpenRouter lists it at $0.08 in / $0.50 out per 1M tokens. Top closed models are listed around $10 / $50. That's ~100x cheaper on output. For side projects, the default model may have changed.
