LangChain tests Jev for model routing
The author contrasts chat agents with Jev, which takes state and returns a typed choice, score or bool in about 70-500ms with no output token charge, and says LangChain is already trying it for model routing while Vercel reports about 13% of paying Gateway teams tried it on day one.
Everyone's shipping chat agents that write novels between tool calls. TypeSafe's Jev does the opposite. State in, typed choice/score/bool out. ~70-500ms. No output token charge. LangChain's already poking it for model routing. Vercel said ~13% of paying Gateway teams tried it day one. "Zero hallucinations" just means it can't leave the enum. It can still be wrong. Fine. I'll take a fast wrong enum over a confident paragraph any day of the week.
