Microsoft launches Copilot Autopilot autonomous agent

Microsoft shipped Copilot Autopilot (formerly Scout), which lets users name an agent, assign it a role and goal, and have it keep working autonomously with its own identity, memory and a cloud computer inside the tenant, billed by usage.

Microsoft shipped Copilot Autopilot today (was Scout). Name, role, goal, then it keeps working while you sleep. Own identity, memory, and a cloud computer inside your tenant. Code tab next door is GitHub Copilot tech for people who never opened an IDE. Chat stays on the seat license. Autopilot/Code/Cowork bill by usage. IT is about to get pinged by people who named an agent and forgot the credit budget.
