How a trader would use Claude Duet for pre-market and post-close work
A trader describes using Duet for morning briefs, scheduled scanners built on criteria like relative volume, post-close trade journals with mistake tagging, and P&L/tax set-aside tracking, though it cannot place trades or move money.
JUST IN: @AnthropicAI just launched Claude Duet. Duet is a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. We asked @stoplosswang how she’d use Duet for trading. Here’s her take: ▫️ Pre-market prep: It sends a morning brief across your connected apps. You know what’s on deck before you touch a chart. ▫️ Scanner: Give it your criteria, like relative volume, gap %, and ATR, and have it build a scanner that runs on a schedule. Your watchlist is waiting before the open. ▫️ After the close: Hand it your trade notes. It drafts the journal, tags the setups, and flags the repeat mistakes. Use voice to talk through your read on a trade. ▫️ Build in the background: P&L tracker, win rate by setup, position size calculator. ▫️ Tax set-aside: Have it track realized gains, split short-term and long-term, and keep a running estimate of what to put aside. Then send the numbers to your accountant to confirm. ▫️ What it won’t do: It can’t place trades or move money, even with your approval. It checks your apps every few hours, so scans work best pre-market or end of day, and you should keep your alerts for live action. 🔥 Join the waitlist: https://claude.com/product/claude-duet
