SONNET 5.5 COSTS HALF AS MUCH PER TOKEN AS OPUS 5.5 AND 28% MORE PER TASK AT MAX EFFORT, SO 300 TASKS GOT ROUTED BY DIFFICULTY FOR $813.32 the routed run costs $813.32, and the same 300 tasks at max effort on the “cheaper” Sonnet 5.5 cost $2,301 task → difficulty → effort → model → bill the router on Jev 1.13 sorts 300 tasks into easy, medium and hard for $0.00, the easy 112 go to Haiku 4.5 for $69.44 the medium 148 go to Sonnet 5.5 at medium effort for $504.68, the hard 40 go to Opus 5.5 at max effort for $239.20 versions and effort are both pinned, because the price card is per token and the effort dial is what moves the invoice 300 tasks in 2.5 hours, and an engineer closes about 5 a day 2.5 hours here is 60 days of one engineer one task costs $80.60 of engineer time and $2.71 with the routed models - that is 30x cheaper and here is the honest part of this file: the 28% comes from one evaluator's workload at max effort, $7.67 a task against $5.98, and the 1.6-point score gap on those pages has no error bar the defaults differ too, Sonnet 5.5 ships at high effort and Opus 5.5 at medium, so the half-price model is the expensive one if you never touch the dial ten runs like this a month save $14,876.80, which is 49.8 customers at $299, $178,521.60 a year the card says $2 against $4, the invoice says $7.67 against $5.98 save this and paste it into Claude Code - let it route your 300 tasks by difficulty for you ↓
