Give Jev the small high-volume decisions and leave hard ones to reasoning models
The post argues that simple, repetitive decisions like classification, routing and scoring should go to Jev for structured results, which is cheaper and faster than calling a reasoning model each time.
I invite you to pay attention to JEV it’s an interesting one! Not because we needed another model that can chat, code or reason for 5 minutes. It’s built for the small decisions that happen constantly inside a system: classify this, route that, score this, decide which workflow runs next. That’s probably where I’d use it. If a decision is simple, repetitive and high-volume, you probably don’t want to call an expensive reasoning model every single time. Jev is cheap, fast and returns structured decisions instead of generating a whole response. Small decisions → Jev Hard decisions → reasoning model This kind of model makes orchestration much more interesting ;)
