DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 orchestrates multi-day upstream PR merges and fixes
A user had 1017 rebase their repo onto upstream, merging 1.1.0, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 over several days while fixing each rebase's performance issues and crashes; Opus 5.5 might be faster, but 1017 proved it could finish the job.
Deepseek v4.1 flash 1017 is good enough for serious work - orchestrating local and upstream PRs from start to finish while working on compelx problems that it was never trained on. It took Deepseek 1017 several days to do the merge from my repo to rebase and test/integrate 1.1.0, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 day after day to get this merged upstream AND fix all the performance issues and crashes associated with it on each rebase. It might have been done faster -unsure- with claude opus 5.5, but I wanted to see if Deepseek 1017 could do it - and it has just proven it to me.
