Auditing subscription token value with T3 Code: Codex, Cursor and SuperGrok compared
Using T3 Code to track real usage, the author compares monthly cost against token volume for Codex, Cursor and SuperGrok, calling GPT-6.1 Sol the most efficient for the price and SuperGrok Heavy the worst value.

GPT-6.1 Sol UltraFast looks like it’s getting close, and thanks to T3 Code I can finally track and audit my actual usage, The numbers are pretty interesting: Codex x20 at $200 gives me roughly 18B tokens a month, with more than half of that usage coming from GPT-6 Astra, Cursor Ultra at $200 works out to around $4.5K worth of API usage, while SuperGrok Heavy costs $300 a month and I’m only getting around 3.2B tokens, or roughly $1K in API value, I’m leaving Claude out of this because I barely use it on this Mac, My first impression is that GPT-6.1 Sol is ridiculously efficient for the price, Just look at GPT-5.6 Sol around 1.6B tokens costs me almost the same as roughly 4.2B with GPT-6.1 Sol, That difference is crazy, My one complaint would be SuperGrok Heavy, because right now it gives me the least usage for the money, To be fair, the real number could be up to 50% higher since I use Heavy mode in chat a lot, so let’s call it around 4B tokens on average, but even then it still feels pretty low compared with what Codex or Claude can give you, At this point, efficiency really is everything
