The quality is impressive and they're both very fast, but I think Kimi K3.1 is going to surprise a lot of people, myself included. If they manage to release it at prices similar to DeepSeek, it could be game over for a lot of closed source coding models from US labs, especially when you consider how good the quality already looks in these early tests. Now I'm just hoping they finally release the model along with its open weights so we can run a quantized version locally!
