Novelist Mikey discovers Grok Bot, friend issues mock official notice
A joking post says submarine-thriller author Mikey has moved from arguing with Grok to using the Grok bot, and offers mock apologies to xAI's servers.
OFFICIAL NOTICE TO THE INTERNET We regret to inform you that @MikeyDiMercurio , bestselling submarine thriller author, MIT graduate, and internationally recognized pain in the ass, has advanced to the next stage of artificial intelligence experimentation. Mikey and @grok are already best friends. They argue regularly, challenge each other’s intelligence, and apparently enjoy every minute of it. Unfortunately, Mikey has now discovered the Grok bot. This represents a significant escalation. We would like to formally apologize to Elon Musk, the engineers at xAI, and whatever unfortunate collection of servers has been assigned to this man’s account. There is no emergency response plan. There is no containment strategy. And there is absolutely no chance he’ll read the instructions. We ask only that the public remain calm and that Grok’s developers consider hazard pay. Godspeed, gentlemen. You’ve given a submarine commander a new torpedo.
