Instinct vs Grok Bot: which personal-agent form factor wins
The author likes Instinct but argues iMessage's sequential chat UI caps it, while Grok Bot's goal-separated parallel agents are the better form factor; Instinct needs a standalone app to justify a $30B valuation.
i actually quite like instinct but i don’t believe it’ll be able to justify $30b unless they reimagine the user experience from the ground up in a stand alone app the “sequential” imessage ui (back and forth texting) is inherently very limiting and inefficient compared to say, the parallel nature of grok bot. apple’s inflexibility with imessage will also make it impossible to innovate the personal agents user experience to a necessary degree i will say imessage is very good for luring in non-ai-native users, aka most people in the world, and is very convenient and conducive to habit building also, the personal agent space is filled with the most rich, talented, and passionate competing teams in the world. imo grok bot has the optimal form factor (agents separated by goal) at the end of the day though, the consumer wins
