Claude Duet research preview: proactive agent, but how much supervision?
Anthropic's Claude Duet is a proactive agent that surfaces tasks, works while you're away and asks approval before actions; the author questions how much time it saves if you still watch every step.
Anthropic just introduced Claude Duet, and this could change how we work with AI. It's a new app in research preview that turns Claude into a proactive agent rather than one that simply waits for your prompts. It can: → Bring important tasks to your attention → Complete tasks you assign it → Keep working while you're away → Ask for your approval before taking certain actions For designers, this could mean less time on repetitive tasks and more time creating. But here's what I'm curious about. How well can it make decisions on its own without needing us to supervise every step? Because if we still have to watch its every move, how much time are we really saving?
