One big winner with personal assistants like dots are SMBs that have old, half-broken website. How many of them lose customers during checkout because the website glitched? I was trying to order some baked goods from a bakery’s website manually. The website kept erroring at checkout and I wasted about 20 minutes with no luck. I then told my dot to take a crack at it, and it placed the order in a few minutes, using Link to checkout, without any problems. SMBs currently have to use a variety of SaaS platforms that take margins off the top of their business in order to serve a good online offering. Ironically, good computer use and personal agents might mean that the bar for software is actually much much lower as consumers use the software directly much, much less.
