Artificial Analysis just rebuilt its "Intelligence Index" AI leaderboard, with 60% of it now running on private tests models can’t study for. The new standings: 1. Claude Opus 5.5 – 58, still topping the charts 2. GPT-6 Astra – 57 3. GPT-6.1 Sol – 55 4. Claude Sonnet 5.5 – 54 5. GPT-6.1 Terra – 51, ahead of Gemini 4 Argon (50) and Claude Fable 5.1 (49) at ~1/13 of Fable’s cost Kimi K3.1 Pro, Moonshot’s model with open weights due Nov. 4, fell from 55 to 46 under the new testing, dropping from just 3 points behind the top spot to 12. The best open models available today, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM-5.3, score 32, below Claude Haiku 5.5 (36).
