Jensen Huang's "AGI has arrived" remark used to frame Astra
The author finds it notable that Jensen Huang, whose GPUs train Astra, says AGI has arrived, while acknowledging Nvidia's bullish incentive as a hardware seller.
Jensen Huang just said it outright: “AGI has arrived.” That caught my attention because I’ve been calling GPT-6 Astra the beginning of AGI, or at least early AGI, without even having seen whatever OpenAI has beyond Astra. And Jensen is in a position to have visibility into things the public simply doesn’t. Now, obvious caveat: NVIDIA sells the shovels in this gold rush. Jensen has every incentive in the world to be bullish on frontier AI. Still, when the guy supplying 100K+ Blackwell systems to train Astra says “AGI has arrived” and immediately mentions another 400K GPUs coming online... Yeah. I’m paying attention.
