Rumor: OpenAI may add a ProMax ultra-premium subscription tier

I’ve been hearing that OpenAI may be working on an even higher tier above Pro, something along the lines of “ProMax.” If that actually happens, I wouldn’t be surprised if it lands somewhere in the $500 to $1,000 range. And honestly, with the internal model people have described as “better than Astra at max reasoning even when running at its lowest reasoning level,” a tier like that would make sense. My only real concern is where this goes for regular users. If OpenAI keeps pushing harder into these ultra-premium tiers, I just hope Plus doesn’t slowly become an afterthought. That’s the part I’m watching closely.
