Last time, it took OpenAI around two months to respond to Claude Code, and they didn't even have GPT-6 Astra or Bel helping them back then. So I imagine we'll see a real answer to Opus 5.5 pretty soon, especially if they're making progress on the safety issues. (But of course, nobody has infinite patience, and they know people are getting impatient.)
