Pro subscriber complains Astra usage is being halved
A $200 Pro user who only uses GPT-6 Astra says the new policy amounts to half the usage, questions the lack of clear numbers, and considers switching to Opus 5.5.
Ok, so we'll just get half the usage? What's the point of the rest of the post, if it doesn't actually explain why we will "get more work done". GPT-6 Astra is the only model I use, so I will just be able to use it 50% less, and that's the end of the story. I can already burn 100% of the current $200 Pro subscription in one day... Microsoft did the same thing and they killed Copilot with that. I was a happy sub, got a yearly subscription, paid for a year, one-month in they changed the terms/limits, so most people refunded. I don't understand why companies are allowed so easily to change the terms of a contract/subscription, with no clear, formal communication and numbers. Time to try Opus 5.5 I guess...
