Eight-agent DOGE simulation ends at $0 after Jev-style router rejects stale feed
In a paper simulation, eight agents agreed on a DOGE trade, but a Jev-style router returned REJECT once the feed passed its 10.8-second freshness limit, leaving the final order at $0.
8 agents agreed on one DOGE trade. One stale feed made all eight opinions worthless. In this paper simulation, the desk proposed $1,840, reduced the executable amount to $429 and sent the combined state into a JEV-style router. The router returned REJECT after the feed crossed its 10.8-second limit. That tiny sequence exposes the risk in AI automation. Jev returns probabilities with every typed Choice, Score or Boolean answer. Useful, but probability is not permission. A model can be highly confident while every agent upstream is reading the same outdated snapshot. So JEV cannot touch execution directly. FENCE checks freshness and risk independently. RELAY acts only when both the decision and the evidence remain valid. Eight agents. One source. One expired assumption. Final order: $0. Would you rather deploy the faster model, or the slower system with an independent veto?
