I usually pick one background for a whole site and never touch it again, and this made me realise that colour can do the storytelling for me. "THE MASKS ARE LAID OUT LIKE A SNEAKER DROP" there is a section called seasonal masks, where different versions of the mask are shown in a grid like products in a shop. I smiled when I saw it... it is such a simple idea, and it makes a movie character feel like a fashion brand. I think it is also the smartest commercial move on the site, because the red hoodie right below it suddenly looks like something I want to buy. "IT ENDS WITH THE TWO OF THEM TOGETHER" the last big line on the page says the two together in a handwritten red script, and after everything before it I thought it was the perfect way to finish.
