Personal assistant race: Grok Bot, Muse, Dots and Instinct
The author argues labs are pushing personal assistants beyond models and coding because household users are the growth market, and lists players including Grok Bot, Meta Muse, OpenAI Dots and Instinct.
Literally no lab right now wants to: 1. Lose customers 2. Leave money on the table Thus is simply why we've seen an insane level of innovations outside models & coding agents from them. As much as we all want really good AGI-like models, a good half of the population still doesn't use AI for coding or any major development. So households are now a target because of that half. Plus every task an agent runs is simply more data to train the next ones on. Right now we have: > Grok Bot > Muse (Meta) > Dots (OpenAI) > Instinct (invite-only) & others still cooking that I missed. Personal agents & assistants is a huge market, even for robotics, & it’ll dominate most certainly. The question though, is who’d win?
