someone used opus 5.5 to build a FULL 3d typewriter that actually works in the browser and the details are actually crazy 🫪 the carriage slides as you type, the bell rings when you reach the margin, the keys lock until you hit enter, and the carriage returns just like a real manual typewriter even the sound effects are generated directly in the browser, with no audio files but there’s more you can draw or upload a photo and watch the machine turn it into typewriter art, one character at a time there’s also a guide mode that converts drawings into step-by-step instructions for people who own real typewriters the entire thing was built with claude code (opus 5.5) using three.js, web audio, and plain javascript repo: https://github.com/winchxyz/platen⁠
