长帖：算力不够、网络脆弱，才是 CEO 们喊减速的原因

1. I think this will allow Meta and Elon to catch up to OpenAI and Anthropic. 2. I think the network infrastructure and the internet as it exists today are not really ready for such fast AI developments. At some point, most network infrastructure will be considered vulnerable and not safe because everyone will have the intelligence to exploit it in a good or bad way. 3. They have a compute issue: there's not enough compute and too much demand. The only way to resolve that is to bring more compute online so that the demand can be met. ChatGPT closed its subscriptions on the $200 plan because they're not able to keep up with the demand. Smarter models like Astra are also demanding more and more compute because they're smarter and have more parameters. There's more intelligence built into these, and they take more power to run essentially. All of these combined, I feel, to contribute to all the CEOs, the major ones, saying, "Okay, we need to slowdown.."
