This is f*cking insane. Your Jev agent is now completely free. run Clef-flash, Jev and Opus 5.5 together, and stop paying for forks your own machine can answer for free. the whole idea in one line: the small local model takes the easy forks, Jev takes the hard ones, Opus only hears about the ones neither is sure of. roles, broken down: - Clef-flash, Cloudflare's open-weights Jev rival (Apache 2.0), runs locally and free after ollama pull clef-flash and takes the yes/no and short-list forks: which file, which tool - Jev takes the hard forks: retry or stop, does the plan meet the spec, anything that approves a command - Opus 5.5 only gets the forks both of them come back unsure about three moments where a fork leaves your machine: → it has more than 26 options: Ollama caps a choice question at 26 → it carries more than 64 KiB: a whole transcript won't fit → it approves something: commands, payments and deploys always go to Jev anyone still sending every fork to an API is paying cloud prices to pick between two files. drop this into Claude Code: "Make my Jev decision layer run on two backends. Find every place my code calls Jev (typesafe-sdk, raw /v1/systemone calls) and list each decision with its question type and number of options. Mark each one light (yes/no, short pick) or hard (retry/stop, spec reasoning, anything that approves a command, payment or deploy). Check whether Ollama 0.35.1+ is installed. Don't install anything, just show me the ollama pull clef-flash command. Add a router with two clients: local at http://localhost:11434 with model clef-flash and a dummy key, Jev with TYPESAFE_API_KEY. Light decisions go local only if they have 26 options or fewer and fit in 64 KiB. Any local error falls back to Jev. Never hardcode keys. Run it in shadow mode for a day: my code keeps using Jev's answer, clef-flash runs in the background and only gets logged. Show every change as a diff first. Wait for my go-ahead before touching anything."
