OpenAI scrapped GPT-6.1 Astra but it didn't throw it away They're training further on the same base model. So whatever comes next, whether it's called GPT-6.2 Astra or something else starts from a model that already finished hard tasks better than anything they'd shipped before. It just couldn't stay in line. If they fix that, the model that was too risky to release could turn into OpenAI's answer to Fable 5.5.
