🚨WTH: Anthropic is now cracking down on Hong Kong users accessing Claude through VPNs, with accounts that worked for MONTHS suddenly getting suspended. >one user used NordVPN for ~6 months before getting hit with a “suspicious signals” suspension >some users are now routing through Singapore VPN servers + using foreign payment details to keep Claude access Hong Kong still isn’t supported by Anthropic. Singapore and Taiwan are. Anthropic says it uses IP addresses + “other signals” to infer a user’s country/region for terms enforcement. That location check is mandatory and cannot be turned off.
