Not a stupid question at all. I wondered the same about openclaw for a while. Here’s how I see it. 1. Has its own computer/ VM so it can run all the time versus Claude code being on your local computer 2. Creates its own skills. In Claude you have to create them; persistent agents like Grokbot do it automatically 3. Then there are UX aspects like the desktop app, the ability to create multiple bots and have group chats that are just specific to the app and harness. I think it’s important to think about the product/ harness and model. Claude and Codex are coding agents/ harness that run on Anthropic and OpenAI models, but they have a harness and product/ ux layer as well. Grokbot can run on multiple models as well. Persistent agents like Grokbot seem to have better memory. And are also much better at running crons/ automations than coding agents. One big thing for me is that it feels like it just works automatically. In the case of Muse, the model was specifically created for personal agents vs all other models are coding models. If I had to pick one to use at this point between Claude, codex, and Grokbot I’d go with Grokbot. I alls really like the voice mode for doing work on walks or in the car.
