Verona 推出面向 AI Agent 的稳定币 verUSD
Verona 上线美元稳定币 verUSD,专为 AI Agent 支付设计,已获超 1 亿美元机构承诺并原生部署在多条链上。

AI agents can think. They can verify information. They can make decisions. But eventually, they need to pay for something. That is where Verona’s latest launch comes in. @verona_dev has launched verUSD, a U.S. dollar denominated stablecoin designed for AI agents, with more than $100 million in institutional commitments from Animoca Ventures, Figment Capital, Sfermion, Pentos, Ero, Arkstream, and other ecosystem partners. But the interesting part is not simply that Verona launched another stablecoin. It is what verUSD is launching into. Most stablecoins launch first and then have to find real usage. Verona says verUSD is taking the opposite route. For four years, projects building on Verona have already been settling payments in USDC. Now, those existing payment flows can move to verUSD, giving the stablecoin real usage from day one. More than $60 million in signed and committed revenue is already set to flow through verUSD as payments. And that makes the bigger picture easier to understand. AI agents are increasingly being designed to do things independently. But the financial infrastructure around them was largely built for humans. An agent needs to pay for verified information. It needs to settle transactions. It may need to make many small payments across different services and networks. Verona is connecting that payment layer to its existing verification infrastructure. Verona verifies the information. verUSD provides the dollar-denominated payment layer. The stablecoin launches natively across Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, Optimism, Arbitrum, Celo and other major networks, with additional integrations planned. And verUSD is fully reserved, backed 1:1 by USD reserves held with regulated U.S. financial institutions, with redemption available through Verona. So this launch is not just about creating another dollar onchain. It is about giving an emerging internet of AI agents a financial layer designed around how they actually operate. As Anthony Anzalone, CEO of Burnt Labs, put it, the goal is for the products to be invisible: powering payments quietly in the background rather than asking users to think about the infrastructure. That may be the most interesting part of verUSD. The future of AI will not only need smarter agents. It will need agents that can verify, transact and pay. And Verona is building toward that future.
