The pace of models and their improvement on known tasks can really fool you. If you think the jagged frontier is gone, try working with Jev. And I don't mean build a flashy bullshit demo that is actually just hardcoded shit for the classifier or taking well known state from something that already exists like a game. I mean try to get a strong, novel, generalizable set of uses out of this amazing new general purpose classifier (and it is amazing and powerful and new!) That's when you'll find the models still have a *very jagged frontier* and struggle with abstracting new concepts/ideas into working patterns.
