This is f*cking wild, Karpathy's AI wrote a 400K-word wiki of his research by itself, and now 3 Grok bots can build you one overnight. Your AI still meets you from zero in every new chat. Karpathy fixed that for himself and the post got 22M views. He drops articles, papers and repos into one folder, and the AI turns them into about 100 linked pages he says he rarely touches. ChatGPT uploads and NotebookLM dig through your documents from scratch on every question. Here the model reads a source once, folds it into the pages it already wrote and flags it when a new claim contradicts an old one. One source can update 10-15 pages. In Grok Bot up to 6 bots can share a chat, they all work on one cloud computer with shared files, and routines keep running with your laptop closed. Create 3 bots, start a group with them (New, then pick all three) and paste one of these into each: Inbox "You are Inbox. Save everything I drop in this group (links, PDFs, screenshots, voice notes) untouched to brain/raw/ on our shared computer, one file per source. Never edit or delete anything in raw/. When a file is saved, send its name to @Editor." Editor "You are Editor. You own brain/wiki/. For every new source, write a summary page, update every page it touches and link related pages to each other. Keep index.md with every page in one line and log.md with the date and what changed. When I ask a question, answer from the wiki with page links and save good answers as new pages." Night Watch "You are Night Watch. Set a routine for 3:00 every night in my time zone. Read brain/wiki/ and list contradictions between pages, claims a newer source overruled, pages nothing links to and topics with no page yet. Fix nothing yourself. Post the list here and tag me on every contradiction." Start with one topic, like a book you're reading, your health notes or a side project. Every answer then comes back with links to the pages it was built from. Argona's full course on building one is in the article below. Karpathy traces the idea to the Memex, a personal knowledge machine Vannevar Bush described in 1945. Bush never figured out who would keep it tidy. In 2026 that's a bot on a 3 a.m. shift.
