MiniMax just gave designers a way to skip the boring parts of Blender and After Effects MiniMax quietly runs a full separate platform for designers, MiniMax Design, and it just got a major upgrade. GPT-6 Astra is now live inside it, and MCP connections open it up to Photoshop, Blender, and After Effects directly. One prompt now builds a 3D model straight inside Blender instead of just spitting out a static render. AI-generated clips convert into an actual editable After Effects project, layers and all, instead of a locked video file you have to work around. The platform also added Collaborative Projects, so teams can work inside the same creative pipeline instead of passing files back and forth between five different tools. This fits a pattern OpenAI itself has been pushing with GPT-6 Astra: it recently demoed the model modeling a house in Blender and turning it into a walkable Unreal Engine 5 scene, scoring 95.9% on a new 3D-reconstruction benchmark called BenchCAD.
