Hermes v0.22.0 is absolutely massive This is The Threshold Release and probably the biggest jump Hermes has made yet. Since v0.21.0: • ~24,200 commits • ~6,080 merged PRs • ~2,520 contributors • 600 reviewed plugins • Codebase reduced by ~34% And that’s just the numbers Hermes now has: • Guided first-run setup with a free trial model, so new users can start before adding an API key • Connectors for apps like Linear and Notion • Multiple accounts per connector • One-click local models through llama.cpp • Stable release channels and signed desktop builds • Microsoft Store support • Password manager login for the browser agent • Bot Screen so you can watch an agent work and take over when needed • 16 languages across Desktop, CLI, TUI and messaging • Opus 5.5, GPT-6, Gemini 4 Argon and more • A much leaner core with integrations moving into plugins What stands out to me most is the direction Hermes is getting easier for beginners, while becoming more powerful for people who want to run everything themselves Cloud connectors if you want convenience. Local models if you want everything on your machine. Plugins if you want to extend it. Desktop, CLI, messaging, bots, browser, voice, screens.
