The belief that Anthropic Opus 5.5 made OpenAI jump out of their chairs is utterly wrong. Astra 6.1 is coming out during OpenAI DevDay which will outcompete opus 5.5, and I’ve been hearing rumors that a week or two later they will release a model much more intelligent than Fable 5.5, expected in mid-October. Only thing Anthropic did was release the beast which is OpenAI. OpenAI is going to win this year and next. It’s over for Anthropic.
