GPT-6.1 Astra is not coming out after all. Sol 6.1 Ultrafast was the product being hyped by the OpenAI team. I don’t know why anyone would be excited for this release. Sure Sol is slow but who would want to pay $500 a month to make it faster. It looks like Fable 5.5, Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 will not have competition anytime soon.
