Meta just launched an AI agent that can actually do things for you. Meet Muse. It doesn’t just answer questions. It can: • Send emails • Book travel • Make purchases • Fill out forms • Work across apps and services • Run tasks in the background You tell it what needs to get done. Muse takes it from there. That’s the important shift: Chatbot → Agent Most AI still waits for you to prompt, review and execute. Muse is designed to take action on your behalf. And the security architecture is arguably more interesting than the AI itself. Meta built Muse around a dedicated Secure VM, with a separate Sentinel agent that controls what reaches the internet and can require your approval for sensitive actions. There’s also an audit trail showing what Muse has done and plans to do. That matters because giving AI the ability to act creates a completely different security problem from giving AI the ability to chat. Muse is rolling out in the U.S. on iOS, Android, the web and WhatsApp. The real question now: Will people trust an AI enough to let it act for them?
